Description:   Amber Velvet is an attractive new hybrid Kangaroo Paw, featuring large strappy leaves reaching 50cm in height. Amber Velvet has a stunning range of red and yellow flowers growing to a height of 1m from the ground, appearing in Spring and early Summer. These flowers produce large amoungst of nectar, attracting honey eating birds to the garden.
Position:  Amber Velvet is frost hardy and will survive in full sun, in well drained positions. It is an ideal plant for gardens or pots.
Care:For best results plant with a slow release fertililser for Australian plants. After flowering remove the older stems and leaves to help promote new growth and foliage the following year.

Geographic Region:  drought tolerant  & better frost tolerance than most other Kangaroo Paw ranges;  More disease tolerant ;   More resistant to black spot
